The ever-keen Kris Hall has developed another quality block, this time on the slopes of Seat Sandal — a minor but popular fell situated 4 km north of Grasmere.
There are a few blocks just past the waterfalls (left as approached), but Kris’s main attention has been focused on the north face of the best-looking boulder. He has added around half a dozen lines from 6A+ to 7A+, all on the usual sound, high-fell volcanic rock. He notes there’s a bunch of additional climbs to be had, yet mainly in the lower grades.
