Some news from a few weeks back: Greg Chapman has climbed a few new problems around the Crag Sector of Thorn Crag. The most notable lines include the excellent and obvious left arete of a block around 40m west of the E6 crack line (The Last Temptation), which is climbed from sitting and around the 6b/V3 mark. The best and hardest new line is on the obvious tilted block equidistant between the Upper Tier of the crag and the Ouzel Slab boulder. This climbs the right hand prow direct, from a low sitting start, to give Monster Minds (7a+/V7). All the lines on this block are quite good and the arete opposite Monster Minds climbed on the left makes for a deceptively engaging outing at around 6b+/V4.
