A Moment of Clarity

John Gaskins has climbed the impressive prow line left of Doctor Shipman's Surgery and right of Last Temptation, at Thorn Crag.
John gives the low down:
" I climbed it as a boulder problem, after top rope practice. All the hard climbing is in the first couple of metres (and moves) leading to a high but easy finish (which is obviously protectable with gear). It may settle down in grade if/when it loses that initial, and typical Thorn Crag gritiness. Gradewise I think/thought that it is either V12/8a+ or V13/8b, I'm not really sure."
Whilst this is an impressive send, it's worth pointing out, to any prospective repeaters, that this is a serious undertaking, and despite Johns 'boulder style' ascent, we would offer the opinion that this is more a route than a boulder problem.
