Trowbarrow Quarry

Area Summary

Historically better known for its classic routes, Trowbarrow has now built up a reputation as excellent bouldering venue, and is especially popular due to the fast drying nature of the boulders and its vertical tree covered walls. The two main areas are the mighty Shelter Stone, and its selection of good HARD limestone boulder problems, and the old school sector of Red Wall - the ultimate wet weather venue - and its infinite array of eliminates.

The 'Red Wall Plus' topo available covers many of the innumerable eliminate problems on the red tinged wall, shrouded by tree cover on the west side of the quarry.
